Sommer

My name is Sommer and I'm a writer from the Midwest. I am currently working on a YA novel about superheroes, reading as much as I can, blogging, and saving the world.

  1. Yay! A MonsterFest recap! Thanks Sommer. And good luck to all the folks doing NaNo!

  2. Thank you so much for sharing these. With great resources like this, I am really getting excited. Glad I found your blog.

  3. This is like a double awesome post because I am a mythology nut myself, and also a NaNoWriMo nut! Am bookmarking this post for some Scott Westerfeld/Justine L. joy to keep me going during November!

  4. That’s a lot of advice!

  5. Wow! Great round up of tips. Hard to believe it is almost that time of year. And thanks for the monsterfest round up links too!

  6. I love it when my worlds collide. I had no idea that Scott Westerfeld and Justine Larbalestier were married. I don’t know why, but this makes me smile. And the list of their NaNo links makes me UBER grateful.

Will be coming back to those in the very near future!

  7. You know what’s stupid? I recently wrote a monster story, and I didn’t even realize I should have told you about it, and made it a part of your fest. It’s here:

  8. OH WOW!
i swear, i keep adding these epherma posts to my faves to catch up on links when i have time… and here’s another one that warrants further looking into!
are you going to be keeping up the monsterfest page throughout the year? it could serve as a handy dandy resource tool for monsterology research! :)

    • Yes! I’m just not sure how I’m going to do it yet. I’m actually looking at another smallish blog redo to include some things I haven’t been able to yet, and I’d like to have a place to keep resources like Monsterfest. So it’ll stay where it’s at for now, but I’ll find a better way to show it off soon.

      • YAY!!!
i swear this is a resource i’d like to look at all year long!
have you ever seen destination truth or monsterquest?!?
they are both permanently on my netflix instant queue.
sometimes, i worry that i’m disturbing my children’s ability to discern real or imaginary…
but C’MON!! bigfoot seems SO LIKELY to actually exist!!! :)

  9. Yup, I could be busy for a while with this lot :-)
